The Lagoon Playgroup follows all of the California Department of Public Health vaccine requirements for childcare centers. California law states that to be unconditionally enrolled in a group setting, children must have the following vaccines prior to beginning preschool.
3 doses of Polio
4 doses of DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis)
3 doses of Hep B (Hepatitis B)
1 dose of MMR* (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
1 dose of Hib* (Haemophilus Influenzae type B)
1 dose of Varicella (Chickenpox)
All medical exemptions must be filed through CAIR, as well as conditional admissions if children are behind on vaccinations. For more information you can visit the following link which will take you to the Shots for School section on the CDPH website.

At this time, the Lagoon Playgroup requires all parent/guardian volunteers to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (Two doses). Children are not required to receive the vaccine to attend.
Covid-19 classroom policy:
If your child has been exposed to COVID-19 outside of school and does not have symptoms, please keep your child at home and wait at least 5 full days after their exposure before testing for COVID-19. If their test result is negative, your child may return to school.
If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please keep them at home for 5 days. They may return to school on day 6 if they have been fever free without the use of fever-reducing medicine for 24 hours and symptoms are improving. They must wear a high quality mask through day 10.
Parents will be notified of any COVID-19 exposures that occur at school. After a school exposure, teachers, children, and working parents will be required to wear a high quality mask for 5 days after the exposure and must test negative on Day 6 to return to school.
